Softball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

After flying high against Camanche on Thursday, Monticello came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Don Bosco Dons by a score of 7-6 on Friday.

Monticello's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Don Bosco, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Monticello has already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Edgewood-Colesburg on the 19th. As for Don Bosco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charles City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
