Baseball Recap: Columbia Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Columbia Academy and Magnolia Heights squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Columbia Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Monday.

Owen Simmons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Columbia Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 28-10. As for Magnolia Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Columbia Academy nor Magnolia Heights have any future games scheduled.
