Softball Recap: Dacula Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Dacula won the last time they faced Mountain View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons blew past the Bears 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Paisley Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests.

In other batting news, Lianna Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Plaisance, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Dacula hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive games.

Dacula pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Dacula has already played their next contest (against Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mountain View, they will head out to take on Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
