Scarsdale took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-10.
Despite the loss, Scarsdale still got an impressive performance from Fuko Shindo, who had 22 digs and a kill. Shindo has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Cha, who had 13 digs.
Scarsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Eastchester, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.
Scarsdale has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against New Rochelle on the 24th. Eastchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
