Soccer Recap: North Wilkes Takes a Loss

North Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the East Surry Cardinals, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against East Surry this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

North Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for East Surry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Wilkes is set to square off against their familiar foe Forbush at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Surry will take on rival West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
