Baseball Recap: Dock Mennonite's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Dock Mennonite dropped their record down to 9-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They lost 9-1 to the Faith Christian Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Faith Christian Academy's part, they got a great performance from Reid Miller as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Miller has posted since back in April of 2024.

Looking ahead, Dock Mennonite will welcome Church Farm at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers are facing the Griffens at the right time seeing as the Griffens are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will take on Valley Forge Military Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.29 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
