Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Faith Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Angels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-58 back in December of 2024.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Robert Barber, who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gordon Boyd, who posted 19 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Crossroads Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Faith Christian Academy will head out to face Crossroads Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Faith Baptist Christian Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
