Basketball Recap: Spring Lake Park Victorious

On Saturday, the Spring Lake Park Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Stillwater Ponies 57-54. The 57-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Spring Lake Park and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Stillwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Lake Park will head out to challenge Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Lake Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Rogers likes a good challenge. As for Stillwater, they will challenge Century at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Stillwater is facing Century at the right time seeing as Century is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
