Softball Game Preview: Perry Pumas vs. Basha Bears

The Perry Pumas are taking a road trip to challenge the Basha Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Perry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Queen Creek, who was ranked second at the time (Perry was ranked 21st). The Pumas fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pumas have suffered since April 7th.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Basha and Desert Vista had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Basha saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Bragg, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Basha, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-5-1.
