Football Recap: Angleton Skates Past Pasadena with Ease

Angleton got themselves on the board against Pasadena on Friday, but Pasadena never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 68-0. That 68 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Bryce Duron had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 48 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 97 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing. What's more, he racked up 177.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Jeremiah Reid was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Angleton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Angleton, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ace Simple, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The victory keeps Angleton at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.4 points on average this season. As for Pasadena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Angleton will take on Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pasadena, they will challenge Porter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
