Baseball Recap: Amboy Clippers vs. West Carroll Thunder
Amboy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They never let the West Carroll Thunder onto the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory was just what Amboy needed coming off of a 12-1 loss in their prior game.
Carson Barlow and Eddie Jones were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Barlow pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks). Meanwhile, Jones tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). Barlow has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Barlow scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Jones scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quinn Leffelman, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dillon Merriman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

As for West Carroll, they will head out on the road to challenge Warren/Stockton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
