Softball Recap: Novi Comes Up Short

Novi extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against Plymouth, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Novi has suffered against Plymouth since May 14, 2018.

As for Plymouth, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games.

For Plymouth's part, the team relied heavily on Natalie McCall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylvia Ditmar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Novi will welcome Canton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plymouth, they will head out to square off against Garden City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
