Baseball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since March 1st.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy got a great performance from Aiden Peets as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Peets is becoming a predictor of the Patriots' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Madison-Ridgeland Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
