Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Hills Triumphs

Piedmont Hills hadn't done well against Notre Dame recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Regents 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Regents back in September, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Alexis Musselwhite paced Piedmont Hills' offense, picking up ten kills. Musselwhite got some help from Katelyn Young and her 17 assists. Zimo Zhou and Eden Ng kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Piedmont Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.

Coincidentally, Piedmont Hills and Notre Dame will both be playing Harker the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Eagles at 2:06 p.m. on Saturday, while the Regents will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
