Baseball Recap: Keene Comes Up Short

Keene lost against Alvirne back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blackbirds fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 7-5. The Blackbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fitch Hennessey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Nolan Connors was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Keene's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Alvirne, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Keene is set to take on their familiar foe Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alvirne will square off against rival Timberlane at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
