Basketball Recap: Lafayette Finds Home Court Redemption Against Dixie County

There's no place like home for Lafayette, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dixie County Bears 46-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since February 1st.

Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Dixie County, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette will head out to square off against Hamilton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
