Volleyball Recap: Imperial Takes a Loss

Imperial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in April.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Imperial sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 16-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9.

Imperial's record is now 7-22. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season.

Imperial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Hoover on the 6th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
