Basketball Recap: Bradenton Christian Comes Up Short

Bradenton Christian lost against Keswick Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bradenton Christian Panthers lost to the Keswick Christian Crusaders at home by a 40-21 margin. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bradenton Christian still got an impressive performance from Taylor Blunden, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Leading Keswick Christian to victory were Maya Devega and Robyn Cantwell. Devega went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points and four steals, while Cantwell posted eight points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Cantwell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ross, who scored four points and ten rebounds.

Bradenton Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Keswick Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Bradenton Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-44 defeat against Sarasota on the 24th. As for Keswick Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-48 loss against Hackettstown on the 24th.
