Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 70-51 bruising from the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers. While losing is never fun, the Goslings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Golden Beavers are ranked 112th).

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Beaver Dam, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Watertown will venture away from home to square off against DeForest at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. DeForest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Watertown likes a good challenge. As for Beaver Dam, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Milton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Milton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
