Grimsley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Page recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Whirlies will head out to challenge the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Grimsley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Grimsley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Southwest Guilford on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Whirlies in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost three in a row.

Jacob Benbow was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Levi Ponder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Northern Guilford, falling 8-2.

Page saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Cooke, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Grimsley's record is now 12-4. As for Page, their record now sits at 6-12.

Everything went Grimsley's way against Page when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Grimsley made off with a 9-1 win. Do the Whirlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
