 The Pickens Academy Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Choctaw Academy Rebels at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Pickens Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
 Pickens Academy was handed a two-point  loss in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tuscaloosa Home Educators  on Monday. Everything went Pickens Academy's way against Tuscaloosa Home Educators as Pickens Academy made off with  an  11-5 victory.
  Harrison Pate spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Cole Livingston and  Braden Banks did most of the damage at the plate:  Livingston  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5, while  Banks  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.  Ace Gregory was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, South Choctaw Academy fell victim to Southern Academy and their airtight pitching crew  back in March. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.
 Pickens Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for South Choctaw Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Everything went Pickens Academy's way against South Choctaw Academy in their previous meeting  back in February as Pickens Academy made off with  a  12-2 victory. Will Pickens Academy repeat their success,  or does  South Choctaw Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
