It was a good run, but Mt. Vernon unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Pendleton Heights Arabians by a score of 1-0. Mt. Vernon were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pendleton Heights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Mt. Vernon's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Pendleton Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-1.
