Baseball Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Newman Smith Trojans

Bryce Nickson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nickson has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Nickson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Austin Gathright was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Jackson Voris, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Newman Smith came up short against Creekview on Friday and fell 6-1. Newman Smith has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
