Softball Game Preview: Heartland Christian Lions vs. Struthers Wildcats

The Heartland Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Struthers Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heartland Christian has given up an average of 16 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Heartland Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 28 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against United on Thursday. They lost 21-1 to the Golden Eagles.

Heartland Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Barrow, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Sarah Reynolds also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Struthers came up short against Hubbard on Monday, falling 14-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Struthers' loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Heartland Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
