Soccer Recap: Edgewater Comes Up Short

Edgewater lost against Bishop Moore back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Edgewater Eagles came up short against the Bishop Moore Hornets, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Hornets are ranked 24th).

Edgewater's goal came courtesy of Will Marzolf, who's now up to two this season.

Edgewater now has a losing record at 6-7-2. As for Bishop Moore, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 18-2-2.

Edgewater has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Harmony on the 13th. As for Bishop Moore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Seminole on the 13th.
