Softball Recap: Borger Comes Up Short

If Borger was feeling good fresh off their 19-6 takedown of Perryton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Borger came up short against the West Plains Wolves on Friday, falling 11-1. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 17-11.

Brancey Hammit made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Borger has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. West Plains' record now sits at 8-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Borger will face off against rival Randall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Plains is set to take on their familiar foe Pampa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
