Basketball Recap: Hillsboro's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Hillsboro had lost five straight headed into Friday's matchup, but Nathan Matoush didn't let it get to six. The Hillsboro Hiltoppers came out on top against the Flora Wolves by a score of 62-52 on Friday thanks in part to Matoush, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tony White, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high.

Hillsboro's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Flora, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Hillsboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-39 win against Okawville on the 7th. As for Flora, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-43 loss against Riverview Gardens on the 7th.
