Volleyball Recap: Tell City Comes Up Short

Tell City came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Gibson Southern Titans, falling 3-0. The Marksmen have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 31-29, 25-19, 28-26.

Haley Braun paced Tell City's offense, picking up nine kills. Braun got some help from Aubrey Harth and her 14 assists.

Tell City's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Gibson Southern, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Tell City has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Henryville on the 30th. As for Gibson Southern, they will host Southridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
