Millard South had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the Arbor View Aggies for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-7 win. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row dating back to last season.

Millard South had a senior duo take command as Jett Thomalla threw for 285 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes and Amarion Jackson picked up 154 receiving yards and three TDs. Jackson's longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards.

One reason for the win was Millard South's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 7.5 sacks. Teagan Urban refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Arbor View's side was Urban, who picked up 1.5 sacks, made nine total tackles (3.5 for loss), and defended three passes.

Arbor View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Millard South has already played their next game, a 65-0 victory against Millard West on the 5th. As for Arbor View, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-31 loss against Lincoln on the 5th.
