Campbell County never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Boone County on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 12-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Camels, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Josie Feebeck and Faith Whitford did most of the damage at the plate: Feebeck scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Whitford went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Samantha Perry was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
Campbell County's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Boone County, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
