Basketball Recap: Stuart Hall's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Stuart Hall has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 64-47 bruising from the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dragons came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bishops are ranked 124th).

Stuart Hall's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Virginia Episcopal School, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Stuart Hall will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grove Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Virginia Episcopal School has already played their next contest, a 68-43 defeat against Roanoke Catholic on the 20th.
