Football Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Piles Up the Points Against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview

Maroa-Forsyth never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview 53-0. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Maroa-Forsyth was led to victory by Ryne Sheppard and Jerrin Taylor. Sheppard rushed for 59 yards and a pair of TDs, while Taylor rushed for 103 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 103 rushing yards gave Taylor a new career-high. Troy Pulliam was in the mix as well, providing Maroa-Forsyth with one touchdown.

The win keeps Maroa-Forsyth at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average this season. As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
