Softball Preview: South Iredell Vikings vs. Lake Norman Wildcats

South Iredell is 0-10 against Lake Norman since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Iredell's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over West Cabarrus. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Addison Trego made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. In other batting news, South Iredell let Addi Myers and Carlee Haines run wild. Myers scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Haines scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
