Golden Gate had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Immokalee Indians.

Carlos Puentes Gueren and George Barrueco scored both of Golden Gate's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Having lost for the first time this season, Immokalee fell to 1-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will challenge Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immokalee, they will square off against Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
