Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Maclay Marauders + How To Watch

Lincoln and Maclay are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Maclay will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Lincoln extended their winning streak to three two weeks ago. The Trojans took down FAMU DRS 72-57.

Malakhi Lowe had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high. George Mutanga was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Lincoln smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Maclay was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 56-55 to North Florida Christian.

Maclay's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Lincoln was able to grind out a solid victory over Maclay in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 52-44. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
