Recap: Alleluia Community vs. The Habersham School Patriots
Alleluia Community's's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past The Habersham School with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. This was payback for Alleluia Community, who suffered a 41-21 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Alleluia Community found their leader in underclassman Lucy Krementz, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Tess Samaha, who scored 9 points.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Myla Shippy, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Shippy scored a full 32.4% of The Habersham School's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brownette Olson, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Alleluia Community now has a winning record of 2-1. As for The Habersham School, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alleluia Community will take on John Hancock Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Habersham School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
