Baseball Recap: Fort Mill Starts Season with Win at Home

Fort Mill gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Socastee Braves 14-4. The Yellow Jackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Sullivan Townley looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Carter Blankinship was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Patterson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
