It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Augustine can now relate to. They took a 17-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Christian Eagles on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why St. Augustine lost, don't look at Paisios Polamalu. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards, and also caught one touchdown. Polamalu is becoming a predictor of the Saints' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 5-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't).

Santa Fe Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Woolley, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. Those 93 receiving yards gave Woolley a new career-high.
