It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Carteret had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Nash Central Bulldogs by a score of 5-0. The Mariners' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The result came thanks to Bryan Hadder's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jonathan Piner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Luke Mcintosh was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

East Carteret's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-0. As for Nash Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.

East Carteret will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. Nash Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
