Soccer Recap: Albany Finishes Even with Saint Mary's

It was a proper cat-fight when Albany faced off against Saint Mary on Thursday. Neither the Albany Cougars nor the Saint Mary's Panthers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Rory Wilmer-Child hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Albany's goal came courtesy of Alexis Guevara Hernandez, who's now up to two this season.

With that draw, Albany's record moves to 5-1-5. As for Saint Mary's, they moved theirs to 5-5-2.

Albany will face off against Pinole Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Pinole Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Saint Mary's, they will square off against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
