Softball Game Recap: Butler Golden Tornado vs. Seneca Valley Raiders

Butler extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-19 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-4 to the Seneca Valley Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-4 loss on Monday.

Shylee Karenbauer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Vicari, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Seneca Valley, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.

On Seneca Valley's side, Paige Volze was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Neve Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Butler wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-5 win against Kiski Area on the 6th. As for Seneca Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Hempfield Area on the 7th.
