Basketball Recap: Nelson Island Comes Up Short

If Nelson Island was riding high fresh off their 87-51 takedown of Kalskag last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nelson Island Islanders took a 63-47 bruising from the Scammon Bay Eagles on Saturday. The Islanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-53.

Scammon Bay can attribute much of their success to ALBERT YUNAK, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DALLAS KAGANAK, who earned 14 points.

Nelson Island has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Scammon Bay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

As of now, neither Nelson Island nor Scammon Bay have any future games scheduled.
