Recap: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Cumberland County Panthers
Even though the Cumberland County Panthers scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Campbellsville Eagles still came out on top. Campbellsville snuck past Cumberland County with a 65-60 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Campbellsville.
Campbellsville was led to victory by Landon Colvin and Keaton Hord. Colvin dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Hord scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Colvin scored 15 or more points. Keondre Weathers was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Campbellsville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Cumberland County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will play host again and welcome Monroe County, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cumberland County, they will be playing at home against Warren East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cumberland County in Kentucky (Warren East is ranked 34th, while Cumberland County is ranked 121st).
