Basketball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Buffalo Culinary Arts on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Buffalo Culinary Arts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-64 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, East still got an impressive performance from Antoine Williams, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. The game was Williams' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tendai Furbert was another key player, putting up 15 points along with seven boards and three steals.

East's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Buffalo Culinary Arts, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

East will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Middle Early College at 6:00 p.m. As for Buffalo Culinary Arts, they will face off against Tonawanda at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
