Baseball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Collins

There's no place like home for Christian Academy-Louisville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Collins Titans a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. While the Centurions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Hudson Overstreet, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Tipton, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Christian Academy-Louisville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Collins, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy-Louisville will host Graceland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Collins, they will be playing at home against Spencer County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
