Baseball Recap: Sweet Home Comes Up Short

Sweet Home fell victim to Amherst Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Sweet Home saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Brand, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Sweet Home's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Amherst Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Home will venture away from home to square off against Grand Island at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amherst Central, they will head out to face off against Starpoint at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
