Baseball Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton was the 7-4 winner over Tipton-Rosemark Academy when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell 7-2 to the Rebels on Friday.

Kaiden Ingram was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Brighton is 4-2 when Ingram posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-7 otherwise.

Brighton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Looking ahead, Brighton is taking a road trip to challenge White Station at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they will head out to square off against Gibson County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
