Volleyball Recap: Shiocton Chiefs vs. Menominee Indian Eagles

Shiocton was the 2-0 winner over Menominee Indian when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Shiocton Chiefs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menominee Indian Eagles on Tuesday. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shiocton actually scored more points across those four sets (98-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 26-24, 16-25, 26-24.

Even though they lost, Shiocton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive contests.

Kaylee White was nothing short of spectacular for Menominee Indian: she had 25 digs.

Shiocton's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Menominee Indian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Shiocton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Clintonville on the 3rd. Menominee Indian has also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Stockbridge on the 3rd.
