Basketball Recap: Tina-Avalon Takes a Loss

Tina-Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of the Meadville Eagles. The Dragons were down 38-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Kinlee Fletcher was her usual excellent self, putting up eight points along with ten boards and seven steals for Meadville. Fletcher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Lexi Kiel was another key player, posting 12 points.

Tina-Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Meadville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tina-Avalon has already played their next contest (against Carrollton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Meadville has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Novinger.
