Baseball Recap: Pana Drops Season-High Score on Hillsboro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pana). They put the hurt on the Hillsboro Hiltoppers with a sharp 16-3 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Brylan Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyx Angel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Pana always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pana now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Hillsboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.
